Description
This is a new MackBeth Whistle, #25, a telescoping brass high D model with brass head and white plastic fipple plug. When collapsed it measures about 6.5 inches. The whistle is tunable by adjusting the position of the top section.
This whistle is classified as moderate to loud in volume. It would be great for sessions. It has a wider bore and slightly more breathy tone than most MackBeths. Either OXXOOO or OXXXOX works for cross fingering. The airway has a rectangular milled cross section. This whistle varies from most telescoping whistles in that there are four holes on one piece and two on another, instead of the more typical three and three split.
