3.45 oz Romney Fiber

Description

This dyed roving is 97.8g (3.45 oz) in weight, and dyed with orange and yellow food colouring and black acid dyes to create an autumn foliage effect. The fibre is Romney woolsourced when I was living in London. Spin singles or ply it with itself to get about 3 1/2 ounces of finished yarn. Ply it with another similar shade to make it stretch even further.

I dyed this pre-processed roving myself. After dyeing the fibre was gently rinsed to ensure that no minimum of loose dye remained. It’s very soft and is suitable for spinning or felting.
