5.76 oz White 56s Fiber

Description

This dyed roving is 163.2 g (5.76 oz) in weight and dyed with lemon yellow and crimson acid dyes, resulting in a colourway of bright yellow and bright red. The fibre is “White 56’s English” sourced when I was living in London. Spin singles or ply it with itself to get nearly 6 ounces of finished yarn. Ply it with another similar shade to make it stretch even further.

I dyed this pre-processed roving myself. After dyeing the fibre was gently rinsed to ensure that no minimum of loose dye remained. It’s a soft fibre and is suitable for spinning or felting.
