MackBeth Whistle #34, Telescoping High D in Brass

Description

This is a new MackBeth Whistle, #34, a telescoping brass high D model with brass head and black plastic fipple plug. When collapsed it measures about 5.75 inches.  The whistle is tunable by adjusting the position of the top section.

This whistle is classified as moderate in volume.  The first octave could be considered quieter, but the second tips into moderate levels.  It would be great for solo practice or small/medium playing groups.  Either OXXOOO or OXXXOX work best for cross fingering.  The airway has a rectangular milled cross section and a rounded window.  There are also decorative brass rings on the middle and end pieces to aid in collapsing/extending.  Visit MackBeth Whistles to hear a sound sample.
